2018 has been one of those years that I can’t wait to forget. I went into it with all of these great running goals and aspirations.
I didn’t accomplish any of them.
I was going to run my first marathon and I had planned to do more than one half marathon. I didn’t do any of that. I barely did a handful of the Run Houston 5ks and 10ks. And those were done virtually. And the truth is there isn’t much fan fare in running 6miles in your closest neighborhood and submitting a Google doc of your run results.
But I’ve decided to go into 2019 with these same goals, but I’m not going to sweat about them. I will get that Marathon run this year and I will PR my half-marathon time. And I’m not going to let all of the crazy of 2018 stop me.
It will happen and you will see a crazy long blog post about what I loved about it and what I wish I could change about it and I will be proud and happy about the accomplishment.
Also on the agenda for 2019 is more accountability. My goal is to be transparent about my training plans and the runs that I do. And even my planner addiction will be displayed with weekly layout pages. I’ve got my month plan for everyone to check out, but look for this weeks layout on Instagram today.
But for now peak January 2019’s Workout & Run Plan
While I wasn’t too thrilled with doing a bunch of virtual races this year, I’m cool with tomorrow’s virtual run. Because well, who wants to get up and drive two hours to run after a planned night of mimosas and breakfast foods.
Happy New Year! And be sure to follow my run diaries into 2019.
