If I were a liar, I would say that last week’s training plans went on without a hitch and they were executed perfectly. But I’m not going to lie to you guys. Last week was a but and I was weak. Nothing went as planned, by the time Wednesday came around. But I’m not going to give up, it’s a new week and I can try again. And besides, I’ve got new goals on my mind. There is a half-marathon in October and I’ve got a goal.
We will be sharing our half-marathon training plans very soon along with which race we will be running.
Week of June 10-16 Training Plans
- Sunday:
- Run
- HIIT
- Monday:
- Run a 5k
- Stretch
- Tuesday:
- Skate (It’s Roller Derby Night)
- During this, we always get a fantastic HIIT workout and stretches on top of lots of endurance and agility.
- Skate (It’s Roller Derby Night)
- Wednesday:
- Run a 5k
- Stretch
- Swim Laps
- Thursday:
- Skate
- Friday:
- Rest (Will probably go for a swim)
- Saturday:
- Run a 5k
- Swim Laps
As we get into a training goal we will definitely be running more than a 5k. Obviously. But for now, in the hot Texas heat, this is what we will be doing. And I’m sure that I could do more, but my aversion to doing any more than that on the treadmill is strong. Though I will step up and run those miles if I have to.
